We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This picturesque valley, situated just 9.3 miles northeast of the city, was historically significant for the Inca Empire due to its strategic location and favorable climate, with fertile lands ideal for agriculture.
The Sacred Valley's altitude stands at 2,800 meters above sea level, boasting one of the most pleasant climates in the region. It is home to a diverse flora and fauna, including wildflowers and animals such as the vizcacha, puma, and skunk, among others.
Our first stop will be the charming town of Pisac, located 20.5 miles away. This remarkable place features an impressive craft market and Inca sites with stone structures and breathtaking views of the valley, along with the iconic Inca terraces.
After exploring the Pisac market, we will proceed to the town of Urubamba to enjoy a delightful traditional Peruvian meal at a local restaurant by the Urubamba River. This buffet lunch offers a taste of regional specialties, including alpaca and trout.
