We will kick off our adventure early in the morning by picking you up from your hotel in the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, and then head along the road leading to Quillabamba.
Our initial stop will be at the archaeological site of Las Peñas, just 15 kilometers away. Here, you'll not only explore the ancient Inca ruins but also admire native birds like the Chestnut-breasted Mountain-finch and the White-tufted Sunbeam.
Next, our journey will take us to the breathtaking Abra Panticalla, where we will continue our birdwatching adventure in a stunning high Andean landscape. At an elevation of 4,316 meters above sea level, the Abra Málaga Pass is a haven for nature lovers and bird conservation enthusiasts.
Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to observe an incredible variety of birds, including the Inca Wren, Unstreaked Tit-tyrant, Cuzco Brushfinch, Rusty-fronted Canastero, Marcapata Spinetail, Creamy-crested Spinetail, Urubamba Antpitta, Red-and-white Antpitta, Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan, and the Junin Canastero.
