Descripción del Tour:
We'll begin our journey by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco in the early morning hours. Our route takes us towards the town of Mollepata, a district nestled in the province of Anta, approximately 55 miles from the city. Here, we'll savor a hearty breakfast before continuing our journey to Soraypampa (3,920 masl), the starting point of our trek.
Upon arrival, we will conduct a brief orientation before embarking on our trek. The trail leads us on an upward path, and after about 1.5 hours of hiking, we'll find ourselves amidst majestic mountains, with the chance to observe local fauna and the remarkable wildlife, including horses, sheep, Andean foxes, and vizcachas, among others.
Our trek ascends to the highest point at 4,200 meters above sea level, where we'll be treated to a breathtaking view of Lake Humantay. This stunning natural wonder is part of the Salkantay trek, which serves as an alternative route to the Inca Trail leading to Machu Picchu.
The Humantay Lake tour will captivate you with its pristine waters, awe-inspiring landscapes, and the striking blend of mountains and glaciers. The lake is formed by the melting of the snow-capped peaks of Humantay and Salkantay.
After marveling at this incredible site, we'll make our way back to the starting point to enjoy a well-deserved Andean lunch.
Later, we'll return to Cusco and ensure your safe drop-off at your hotel.
