We will meet at Plaza El Regocijo, where we will board a tourist vehicle that will transport us to a unique destination: the Llaullipata ecological reserve, situated near the magnificent Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park.
Our target location is the Cusco Planetarium, an intriguing site that has been utilizing photovoltaic solar energy since 2007, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental preservation and Mother Earth. Outfitted with professional telescopes, this place offers an extraordinary experience for those eager to explore the secrets of the cosmos, weather permitting.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a journey into Inca astronomy. In the auditorium, we'll discover how astronomy played a significant role in the Inca civilization, influencing everything from agriculture to sacred rituals.
Subsequently, within the dome, we will enjoy a breathtaking virtual projection of the southern hemisphere’s sky, where an expert will reveal the mysteries of Inca constellations such as the Southern Cross and the Milky Way.
If conditions are favorable, the experience will culminate with direct telescope observation of celestial bodies, allowing us to admire the stars and appreciate the enchantment of the Andean constellations.
