Descripción del Tour
In the early morning, we will depart from your hotel in Cusco city towards the Poroy Train Station via private transport. This marks the beginning of an extraordinary journey aboard one of the world's most remarkable trains, the Hiram Bingham Train. The experience on this train is nothing short of first-class luxury.
The train's exquisite classic design complements the dining area, providing the perfect setting to savor the delectable dishes crafted by expert chefs. Passengers will enjoy a welcome drink and a gourmet lunch. We highly recommend trying the Pisco Sour, a traditional cocktail made with Pisco.
The train features two dining cars, an observation/bar car, and a kitchen car, with a capacity for up to 84 passengers. The journey from Poroy spans approximately three hours.
The scenery along the route is simply breathtaking. You will have the chance to admire stunning mountains with unique flora, including the Veronica Snowy peak. As we follow the course of the Urubamba River, we draw nearer to the canyon and ultimately reach the town of Aguas Calientes, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From here, we will take a short bus ride up the winding road to the sacred Incan citadel: Machu Picchu.
The Lost City of the Incas will captivate you with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, stairways, and the solar clock known as Intihuatana, as well as the Sun Gate or Inti Punku. All of this is experienced in a unique atmosphere during a guided tour. Machu Picchu was constructed under the rule of Inca Pachacutec around 1450 A.D., intended to serve as an urban and religious center.
Machu Picchu is connected by the Inca Trails and is situated at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level in a subtropical zone. This archaeological marvel was uncovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
After enjoying a delightful tea time in a luxury hotel with stunning mountain views, we will board the train back to Cusco, where entertainment and a fine gourmet dinner await on board.
Upon arriving at Poroy Train Station, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco city.
