Early in the morning, a tourist bus will collect you from your hotel in the city of Cusco, heading to the train station in Ollantaytambo, nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

At this point, you will board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, embarking on a 1.5-hour journey. Along the way, you will be treated to breathtaking mountain landscapes. Upon arrival, a bus will take you to the entrance of Machu Picchu Citadel, where you will have free time to explore this remarkable archaeological site.

Machu Picchu was designated a UNESCO Historical and Cultural Heritage site in 1981. This awe-inspiring Inca citadel was constructed during the reign of Inca Pachacutec in the fifteenth century, marking the expansion of the Incan Empire, known as Tahuantinsuyo.
